Gill has played piano since the age of 6 and keyboards since the 80’s synth revolution and cites her main influences as Toto’s David Paitch and film composer Vangelis.
Studying music composition to advanced diploma level, Gill has been a professional musician and session player for 30 years including 2 self penned albums.
Proficient in many styles from Celtic Roots to Blues and Soul, Gill has performed with members of the Fureys; Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross; Eddi Reader; Mairi MacInnes, Lorraine Jordan;actress/singer Terry Neason and shared the stage with many formidable artists including a Celtic Connections festival appearance with The Gospel Truth Choir supporting Tom Jones.
Gill also sings and plays piano accordion and has toured worldwide with Australia/NZ based artists Pacific Curls and The Borderers. Festival highlights include WOMAD in Reading, Glastonbury; Australian Blue Mountains Festival; Huon Valley festival in Tasmania and the Celtic Festival Barbados.
She is currently performing and recording as part of Greig Taylor’s Blues Combo.
Gill uses Yamaha Motif MO6; Alesis QS8 and plays hand made Italian 80 bass 2 voice petite La Burdina Piano Accordion.
